Update by Andy
This past week has been fairly peaceful. Beth is starting to feel less morning sickness, and we're reading our books to make sure we know what's going to happen. Another concern we've been discussing recently is how the pets will handle the newborn. Will George know to play gently? Will Kyrie keep the baby company, or will she stay far away? How will Marco react - or will he even notice?
And we've been kicking around names, too. Our plan is to each make a top 10 list of boy's names and girl's names. Then we'll compare lists and take it from there. Every so often I'll throw out a name I don't really like, just to mess with Beth. Like Winthrop... or Quasimodo... or Calliope... It's usually a lot of fun. But with Calliope, it came back to burn me. Turns out Beth likes the name Calliope.
Who'da thought???
And she didn't know I was joking, so she is now strongly considering putting Calliope on the list. Uh oh. So I guess I need to be more obvious next time I make a joke. Otherwise we may end up with Rudolpho. And I don't think anyone wants that...
So that's what's been going on. These past weeks have been pretty normal, with minimal changes or noticeable baby moments. I'm sure these days are quickly coming to an end. Soon we'll be decorating the baby room, having bi-weekly doc visits, and who knows what else. Next week expect a new baby pic - it's the big anatomical picture.
